Lyrics

The goose came honking up over the pond
Going “Hey honk honk I’m coming in hot.”
And the wood duck said “About to lay me an egg
So watch where you land in your big goose head.”
And the woodpecker yelled to the robin mate
“Somebody help I got a bad headache.”
And the hummingbird whispered a joke to the hen
And the falcon overheard but just a peregrin noiw

Now birds birds flying around
Chirping and a slurping worms right down
Birds birds singing a tune making a nest
Like a good bird do
Birds birds ruffling up feathers
Hoping and praying for some good flying weather
Birds

The big beak buzzard barked at the crow said
“I’d be a lot like you if it weren’t for the road.”
And the king fisher said to the common loon
Them mouse should come out in the light of the moon
And the red tailed hawk was a talking some squawk
So the mocking bird came and plum ran him off
And the great blue heron’s looking a little bit rough
He been running around with wild turkey too much
There’s a wubble in his gubble that’s bound to cause some trouble
Now the eagle came down to talk with the crane
Said “Buddy can you help me find a little road gain?”
And the crane said “Ain’t being on the quarter enough?”
He said “They say bald a smooth but buddy bald’s pretty rough.”
And the raven just got done doing his chores
Said “When I grow up never more never more.”
And the pigeon said “Man I’m gonna catch me a train
Cuz my cousin the dove is done calling for rain now.”
